Pisang Peak & Thorang-la located on the Annapurna Circuit route rated as world’s 10th best trekking destination, one of the most unique journeys leading from warm subtropical; mediterranean of mid hills to arctic landscapes and climate zone, all these drastic change in temperature found only in Annapurna area, this makes a drastic change in vegetations and its awesome scenery.
This trek leads through many traditional Gurung and Manang people villages with its rich old traditions and culture.
This remarkable trek and climb of Pisang Peak at 6,091 meters high starts from Lamjung and Manang area and then with a great classic climb on leaving the main trail for few days in complete isolation and wilderness, the climb is taken after acclimatization and well preparations, although the climb is straight forward, requires skill of ice axe, crampons and use of fix ropes along the climb, our expert guide will make the it safe and supporting you all the way to the top summit of Pisang Peak at 6, 091 meters, after a great climb descend towards Mustang region via the high pass of Thorang-la at 5,416 meters and slowly with a scenic walk ending this beautiful and awesome trekking at Jomsom the headquarter town of Mustang district and then a short scenic flight to Pokhara city where the high snow capped peaks reflects in its serene lake Phewa.

Day 01:       Arrive at Kathmandu and transfer to respective hotels.
Day 02:       In Kathmandu half day sightseeing tour and trek preparations.
Day 03:       Drive to Chamje 1,560 m via Beshishar 823m - 08 hrs journey.
Day 04:       Trek to Dharapani 1,860m - 05hrs.
Day 05:       Trek to Chame 2,715m - 05 hrs.
Day 06:       Trek to Pisang 3,185m - 05 hrs.
Day 07:       Rest day at Pisang for acclimatization and local hike.
Day 08:       Trek to Pisang Base Camp at 4,380 m – 05 hrs.
Day 09:       Trek and climb to High Camp at 5,400m.
Day 10:       Climb of Pisang peak and return to BC or to Pisang village.
Day 11:       Contingency or spare day in case of unfavorable weather conditions
Day 12:       Trek to Manang 3,350 m - 05 hrs.
Day 13:       Trek to Yak Kharka 4,130 m - 04 hrs
Day 14:       Trek to Thorong High Camp 4,600 m - 06 hrs.
Day 15:       Cross Thorong-La 5,416 m and to Muktinath 3,800 m - 07 hrs.
Day 16:       Trek to Jomsom 2, 715 m - 04 hours.
Day 17:       Fly or drive to Pokhara and transfer to hotel.
Day 18:       Drive to Kathmandu and transfer to respective hotel.
Day 19:       Transfer to airport for international departure.

Day 01:           Meet in Kathmandu after arrival from international flight.
Rendezvous in Kathmandu where you will be joined with other members of the trekking team on reaching respective hotels, our guide or group leader will brief information regarding your trekking with do’s and don’ts.
Day 02:           In Kathmandu with cultural tour at places of interest.
As per the time set for sightseeing tour, our city guide will meet in the morning after breakfast  and then depart hotel for few hours in our interesting cultural tour of heritage sites as Kathmandu valley is full of world heritage sites, however some of them been damaged from recent earthquake.
The  tour of holy Pashupatinath temple, Bouddhanath ( Little Tibet), Swayambhunath ( Monkey Temple) & monasteries, ancient Kings Palaces and courtyard in Kathmandu; after an interesting sightseeing back to the hotel, afternoon free at leisure for Pisang Peak and Annapurna trek and climb preparation.
Day 03:           Drive to Chamje 1,560 m via Beshishar 823m - 08 hrs journey.
This amazing trip Annapurna circuit starts with morning drive towards Nepal mid west with mountain scenery, journey leads to Beshsishar town then on the dirt road to Khudi, Bhulbhule and Ngadi following the Marsyangdi River upstream, the drive continues through rice terraces fields and villages to Syange, from here with a slow climb leaving the Marsyangdi River behind for few days then reaching the first overnight stop at Chamje after Jagat village, a farm village with many lodges to take care the needs of the travelers.
Day 04:           Trek to Dharapani 1,920 m - 05 hours.
From this village walk leads to a gradual winding path to Chamje, after this village back to Marsyangdi River crossing towards east bank and then through a thick forest, with superb views of majestic Annapurna and Manaslu mountain ranges, then on the wide path all the way to a nice village at Tal Besi, after a break here another few hours walk reaches to Dharapani village for overnight stop, this village situated on the junction of Annapurna circuit and Manaslu trek.
Day 05:           Trek to Chame 2,670 m - 05 hours.
After Dharapani walking along the wide trail through tranquil rhododendron and pine forest passing the small villages of Bagachap and Danque, then to  Timang village with its ancient Buddhist culture along with grand view of
Mt. Manaslu 8,163m / 26,781ft, after Timang village another hour walk leads to the village of Koto and then to Chame for the overnight stop, Chame a large major town of Manang area and headquarter.
Day 06:           Trek to Pisang 3, 230 m - 05 hrs.
From here onwards feel the cool and fresh mountain air, morning walk leads through enchanting alpine forests of rhododendron and pine tree lines following the Marshyangdi River upstream with several ups and downs to Bhratang village, after this small village walk follows uphill’s through the woodlands at Dhukure Pokhari with couple of teahouses overlooking views of Chulu’s and Pisang peak and of Pisang village, after a break here descending to reach the lower Pisang village for overnight stop.
Day 07:           Rest day at Pisang for local hikes and acclimatization.
A necessary rest day for acclimatization before heading to higher ground and climb of Pisang Peak, around Pisang village optional short hike to explore the Manang village and its valley, this large village situated on the wide windswept valley at the bank of Marsyangdi River beneath Annapurna and Gangapurna mountain range, a nice walk up for views of Gangapurna Glacier and the Lake. 
Day 08:           Trek to Pisang Peak Base Camp 4,380m - 04 hrs.
From the village of Pisang head towards North passing the upper village through sparse wood and pastures to a kharka or the Shepard’s shed as this spot provides an excellent campsite for the base camp after the strenuous climb of 3-4 hours.
Day 09:      Trek and climb to High Camp 5,400 m  - 03 hrs.
From the Base camp a faint path leads to an open area at the hillside following a ridge and climbing to a shoulder on the South –West Ridge which provides a suitable site for the high camp. Under some conditions this area may be under snow, afternoon free to sort the gear for the climb.
Day 10:      Climb Pisang Peak and return to base camp time permitting to Pisang village.
Early morning set for the climb from here the route leads above a well defined ridge to the final snow slope which leads quite steeply although without difficulty all the way to the top of Pisang summit. After a wonderful time at the top return to the base camp, time permitting descend all the way to Pisang village.
Day 11:           Reserve day in case of bad weather condition
An extra day as contingency or reserve day in case of unfavorable weather conditions, if all goes well this spare can be used on the way before Thorang-la or after to Jomsom.
Day 12:      Trek to Manang 3,350m - 04 hrs.
From Pisang onwards the walks leads with the constant view of the high snow capped peaks. The walk climbs steeply up for half an hour, after a short gradual walk from the Pisang village then reaching the top of a small hill.
This grand spot offers a dramatic views of the valleys, Hongdre village with it's short air-strip and the great peaks of Gangapurna, Annapurna II, III, Tilocho, and on the right Chuli east, on the back Pisang peak. The walk from here is on the downhill and gradual path all the way to Hongdre, from Hongdre the trek is more or less flat on the wide trail most of the way to Manang, adding a slight touch of altitude as you near to the village of Braga and Manang, here with time to spend the morning visiting Braga Monastery. The largest in the district, it has an outstanding display of statues, thangkas and the religious manuscripts.  From here it is only an hour walk to Manang for the overnight stop.
Day 13:      Trek to Yak Kharka 4,130m -04 hrs.
After a wonderful time at Manang, the trail from here leads to a slow climb for an hour, after the last village of Manang, the track gently winds up offering inspiring views of the Annapurna II, Gangapurna, Tiloche and the close up views of Chuli’s peaks from mid and west as the trail heads up in the barren windswept terrain's with juniper bushes as the only surviving vegetation around this region, coming to a small settlements of Yak-Kharka for the overnight with time for a short hike around.
Day 14:           Trek to Thorong High Camp 4,600 m - 04 hrs.
As the walk progress and getting closer to the base of Thorang-la on the trail beyond a small place at Ledar, then crossing a bridge walk heads to a climb along the river bank of Jarjung, leading up on the narrow path to cross a steep rocky slope and finally reaching at Thorung Phedi, depending upon the physical conditions of the clients, if all goes well an hour steep climb to the overnight stop at Thorang High Camp, staying here to make it easier for the next day climb over Thorang pass.

Day 15:           Cross Thorong-La 5,416 m and to Muktinath 3,800 m - 07 hrs.
Today the highlight of this great journey after early breakfast set for the long climb to Thorang-la with a steep ascend all the way to Thorung La Pass top at 5,416 m / 17,700 ft, the highest altitude gain of this memorable adventure this certainly requires a high spirit and physically strong mind to cross over it. The top offers mind blowing scenery of beautiful landscapes and snow capped peaks, from here the walk leads to a long descend to Muktinath at 3,800 m. on reaching Muktinath for the overnight stop, this is a sacred and holy place for both Hindus and Buddhists the word Muktinath literally means ‘the place for Nirvana or Liberation’.
Day 16:           Trek to Jomsom 2,715 m - 04 hrs.
From today onwards walk will be quite easier on the downhill trail and losing altitude and with great different scenery on the Kaligandaki river valley starting with a gentle descend following the wide jeep road passing few smaller villages of Jharkot, with tremendous views of arid and barren country on this new Mustang area, after few hours of good walk reaching at Kaligandaki river valley and to the big town of Jomsom with its small airport, where every morning flights takes place to Pokhara and Kathmandu on smaller planes. Jomsom, headquarter of whole Mustang district.
In Jomsom in the comfort of nice and good lodges and enjoy the party with fellow members and staffs with apple products of Mustang area, as Jomsom, Kagbeni to Marpha famous for apples and its products.
Day 17:           Drive or fly back to Pokhara.
In Jomsom as per the flight time which is early morning due to the heavy afternoon winds, transfer to Jomsom airport for a short flight to Pokhara with awesome views during this 22 minutes flight, in Pokhara transfer to respective hotels for overnight near picturesque Phewa lake with great views of Annapurna Himalaya range and Mt. Machhapuchhre at 6,997 meters high reflecting at Lake Phewa in the morning time, Pokhara an amazing place and popular tourist haven.
(For those who wish driving options an interesting drive on winding dirt road till Beni passing many nice towns and villages of Marpha, Ghasa, Tatopani and to Beni before Pokhara takes nearly 5-6 hours of drive.)
Day 18:           Drive of fly back to Kathmandu.
Morning a scenic drive to Kathmandu, after a wonderful memorable trip in the mid hills of Annapurna area,  then on reaching Kathmandu transfer to respective hotels with afternoon free at leisure.
(Options to fly back to Kathmandu our staff will transfer you to Pokhara domestic airport for 30 minutes scenic flight to Kathmandu, on reaching Kathmandu meet our staff and then transfer back to respective hotels).
Day 19:           International departure for home ward bound.
After a great memorable time and experience with Solukhumbu Treks & Expedition, depart from the hotel to the airport for final departure homeward bound or to respective destinations.
