On this trek Around Helambu offers grand views from Annapurna I (8,091m / 26,545ft) Annapurna South (7,219m-23,693ft), 08th highest Mt. Manaslu at 8,163 m, Ganesh Himal Ganesh Himal (7,405 m) Langtang Lirung (7,234 m)  Ghengu Liru(Langtang II 6571m / 21,560ft), Kimshun (6,745m/22,137ft) and Shalbachum(6,918m / 22,699ft) to the south, the Chimsedang Lekh forms a ridge of peaks which includes Naya-Kanga (5,846m) and Gangchempo, Tilman's beautiful Fluted Peak. Beyond it extends to the Jugal Himal, terminating in Dorje Lakpa (6,980m/22,929ft) Mt. Gauri-Shanker (7,145 m) and Melung Tse ( Jobo Garee) peak at 7,181meters . To the east the upper meadows of the Langtang end in a massive mountain wall, forming the frontier with Tibet.
Around Helambu trek one of the most unique region due to its scenic and cultural traditional villages with breathtaking scenery, as the walk leads from the picturesque village of Chisopani, Kutumsang, Melamchegaon to Tarke Gyang, the trek is moderate with steep uphill for few days, where all types of travelers can join in this wonderful walking journey and the time duration taking about a week in the comfort of warm cozy lodge or home stay and tea houses along the route. 
Around Helambu trekking one of the most interesting and fascinating journey leading from warm mediterranean of mid hills to alpine climate zone, all these drastic change in temperature found only around southern central Himalaya region, this makes a drastic change in vegetations and its awesome scenery.
This trek leads through many traditional Tamang and Hyalmo villages famous for culture and Buddhist religion and as well for mountain and trekking guides they are also well known for making unique wooden handcrafts and Thanka painting.
This remarkable trek starts from Sundarijal just an hour drive from Kathmandu and then walking into enchanting forest of rhododendron, oaks and pines tree lines where the rare red panda, snow leopard roams with other wild life in this beautiful Himalayan environment.
After a great time at Helambu area and visit of its old monastery and on route with panorama of Annapurna, Manaslu, Ganesh, Langtang to Jugal Himal mountain range, journey back via an alternative route from Tarke -Gyang and then a long descend following the ridge line towards warm sub tropic at Melamchepul and Bazaar, and then return back to Kathmandu for your international flight after a memorable time with Solukhumbu Treks & Expedition trekking around Helambu.
Day 01:       Meet in Kathmandu after arrival from international flight.
Day 02:       In Kathmandu with sightseeing tour at places of interest.
Day 03:       Drive to Sundarijal & trek to Chisapani 2,300 m - 04 hrs.
Day 04:       Trek to Gul Bhanjyang 2,125 m - 05 hrs.
Day 05:       Trek to Kutumsang 2,446 m - 04 hrs.
Day 06:       Trek to Thadepati  3,597 m - 04 hrs.
Day 07:       Trek to Malemchigaon 2,560 m - 05 hrs.
Day 08:       Trek to Tarke Gyang 2,590 m - 04 hours.

Day 01:      Meet in Kathmandu after arrival from international flight.
Rendezvous in Kathmandu where you will be joined with other members of the trekking team on reaching respective hotels, our guide or group leader will brief information regarding your trekking with do’s and don’ts.
Day 02:      In Kathmandu with cultural tour at places of interest.
As per the time set for sightseeing tour, our city guide will meet in the morning after breakfast  and then depart hotel for few hours in our interesting cultural tour of heritage sites as Kathmandu valley is full of world heritage sites, however some of them been damaged from recent earthquake.
The  tour of holy Pashupatinath temple, Bouddhanath ( Little Tibet), Swayambhunath ( Monkey Temple) & monasteries, ancient Kings Palaces and courtyard in Kathmandu; after an interesting sightseeing back to the hotel, afternoon free at leisure for Around Helambu trek preparation.
Day 03:      Drive to Sundarijal and trek to Chisapani 2,300 m - 04hrs.
Starting this wonderful outdoor journey with a morning short drive towards the eastern Kathmandu valley rim at Sundarijal which is situated at a distance of 15 k.m. from Kathmandu city, from this small town at Sundarijal our trek begins with an uphill walk through small farm villages, beautiful cascade of waterfalls and reaching at an entrance of Shivapuri National Park, from here through patch of forest and passing many scattered farm fields and villages then reaching the ridge top at Chisopani where the air gets cooler as this small village stands at 2,300 meters overlooking grand panorama of snow capped mountains from Annapurna-Manaslu-Ganesh Himal, Lang tang Himal towards Jugal Himal range, view of whole Kathmandu valley, this spot offers stunning sunrise and sunset views as well.
Day 04:      Trek to Gulbhanjyang 2,125 m - 05 hrs.
After an enjoyable morning with the sunrise over the grand mountain panorama, walk starts with a downhill path to a nice village of Pati Bhanjyang which is a Hindu Brahman and Chhetris village, from here our walk carry’s on with a slow climb uphill for an hour then on the gradual winding through patch of forest and villages reaching at Gulbhanjyang for overnight stop after a good day’s walk of 4-5 hours.
Day 05:      Trek to Kutumsang 2,446 m - 04 hrs.
Today the walk is quite short, starting by following the trail with a climb uphill and sometime downhill which leads to another popular village of Chipplin, from here walk continues through farm villages overlooking grand panorama of surrounding green landscapes and rolling hills till the day ends at overnight stop in Kutumsang, a nice Sherpa-Yolmos and Tamang village with great views of snow capped mountains, afternoon free at leisure to explore this small pretty village surrounding.
Day 06:      Trek to Thadepati  3, 597 m - 05 hrs.
From this nice village starting the fresh morning walk with a climb north up to the Yurin Danda ridge through serene rhododendron, pines and oak forest and to a small pass at 3,510 meter and then with a short descend to the forested area.
Then this pleasant trek passes through cool shade of rhododendron forests and coming at an open area, where there’s a Nepal army post and with few small teahouses, after this exposed place walk leads to a short climb diverting from the main path that joins to Gosainkund area, our wonderful walk completes at Tharepati for lunch and overnight stop. Tharepati with few lodges and teahouses and the highest point of this trip offering grand panorama and awesome views of rolling landscapes and high stunning peaks of Langtang and Jugal mountain range,
afternoon free at leisure or for short walk around this fabulous spot
Day 07:      Trek to Malemchigaon 2,560 m - 05 hrs.
After a wonderful time at the highest spot of this trek at Thadepati, our journey continues with a short climb to the top ridge, then heading downhill path through dense forest of rhododendron, hemlocks, firs and pines tree lines.
The walk carry’s on further passing through several Sheppard’s huts and temporary settlements and then reaching at Melamchi Khola ( stream), crossing the river and then with a gentle climb reaching our overnight stop at Malemchigaon, a typical mountain and hill village of Buddhist religion inhabited with Yolmo’s and Tamang ethnic tribes, the houses windows and doors and furniture decorated with pretty intricate carvings, here after lunch free at leisure to explore this nice village.
Day 08:      Trek to Tarke Gyang 2,590 m - 04 hours.
Today another short day walk towards the main village of Helambu area at Tarke Gyang, he trail steeply descends to the Melamchi River from the village, then crossing the river by a suspension bridge, then the walk leads to a climb above the river for an hour reaching at the overnight spot at Tarkeghyang village via Nakote village, Tarkegyang, renowned for its famed green apples and intricate Tibetan design wood carving on furniture and other products.
Afternoon at leisure, visiting this lovely village, where its windows and furniture have nice traditional carving, visit the oldest Buddhist monasteries, Ama Yangri on the top of the village.
Day 09:      Trek to Sermathang 2,610 m - 04 hours.
Slowly and gently as this wonderful journey comes to an end losing altitude day by day from here onwards on the downhill and flat land walking though beautiful forests and enjoying with a visit in these villages of Helembu area, our walk continues  through many chortens and summer meadows to reach Gangyul a small village, then following the path with wonderful views of green rolling hills and natural vegetation and reaching at Shermathang for overnight stop, this is another pretty Hyalm0 village of Helambu area, here with time to visit another old monastery.
Day 10:      Trek to Malemchipul Bazaar, drive to Kathmandu - 05 hrs drive
After a wonderful time in the high mountains, valley and pass, today finally concluding this wonderful adventure with a drive to Kathmandu, morning walk begins with an easy descend through warmer area as the trail leads to lower area through flat land till it reaches a newly built Stupa and statue of Guru Rinpoche
( Guru Padmasamvaba one of the main Guru of Ninang pa sect of Buddhism) then slowly descend through pine forest to the village of Kakani. The trail from here continues with a downhill walk till it reaches Dubachaur and further descending to reach a suspension bridge over Melamchi Khola, on arrival at Melamchipul where this trek cones to an end, from here an interesting drive of five hours to reach Kathmandu, on reaching Kathmandu transfer back to respective hotels after a wonderful time in the high hills of Himalaya.
Day 11:      International departure for home ward bound.
After a great memorable time and experience with Solukhumbu Treks & Expedition, depart from the hotel to the airport for final departure homeward bound or to respective destinations.
