On this trek Poon Hill Panorama you can view from Annapurna I (8,091m / 26,545ft) Annapurna South (7,219m-23,693ft), Gangapurna (7,455m-24,457ft) and Annapurna III (7,555m-24,787ft), including to Mt. Machhapuchhre (Fish-tail) at 6,790 m stretches up towards world’s 7th highest Mt. Dhaulagiri 8,167 m and 08th Mt. Manaslu at 8,163 m and more peaks across the horizon along with the striking sunrise from Poon Hill.
Poon Hill Panorama one of the most popular and trekked region due to its easy accessibility from the picturesque touristic city at Pokhara the trek is moderate with steep uphill for few days, where all types of travelers can join in this wonderful walking journey and the time duration taking less than week in the comfort of warm cozy lodge known as tea houses along the route. 
Poon Hill Panorama trekking one of the most unique journey leading from warm subtropical, mediterranean of mid hills to alpine climate zone, all these drastic change in temperature found only around southern Annapurna Himalaya region, this makes a drastic change in vegetations and its awesome scenery.
This trek leads through many traditional Gurung villages famous as Gorkha soldiers in foreign legion of British, Indian, Singapore and Brunei as gallantry soldiers.
This remarkable trek starts and ends in the scenic valley at Pokhara city where the high snow capped peaks reflects in its serene lake Phewa.

Day 01:       Meet in Kathmandu after arrival from international flight.
Day 02:       In Kathmandu with sightseeing tour at places of interest.
Day 03:       Drive or fly to Pokhara 950m (30 mins flight and 6 hrs drive)
Day 04:       Drive to Nayapul 1,100m and trek to Tirkhedhuga 1,450m. 
Day 05:       Trek to Ghorepani 2,874m - 05 hrs.
Day 06:       Morning hike to Poon-Hill and trek to Tadapani 2,721m - 05 hrs.
Day 07:       Trek to Ghandruk 1,951m - 04 hrs.
Day 08:       Trek to Potana 1,900 m - 05 hrs.
Day 09:       Trek to Kande 1,460m and drive to Pokhara.
Day 10:       Drive or fly back to Kathmandu afternoon free at leisure.
Day 11:       International departure homeward bound.


Pokhara is one of the most unique sub-tropical valley in the Himalaya and probably in the world, where one can marvel the beauty of the Himalayan landscape  and reflection of the Annapurna massif including the towering majestic peak of Mt. Machhapuchhre on its beautiful lakes.. Pokhara is situated in the mid western Nepal. It is linked by the main highway of 200 km driving distance from Kathmandu, and by air approximately 20 to 30 minutes flight with a sweeping panoramic views of the mid east to western Himalayan ranges.

Day 01:      Meet in Kathmandu after arrival from international flight. 
Rendezvous in Kathmandu where you will be joined with other members of the trekking team on reaching respective hotels, our guide or group leader will brief information regarding your trekking with do’s and don’ts.
Day 02:      In Kathmandu with cultural tour at places of interest. 
As per the time set for sightseeing tour, our city guide will meet in the morning after breakfast  and then depart hotel for few hours in our interesting cultural tour of heritage sites as Kathmandu valley is full of world heritage sites, however some of them been damaged from recent earthquake.
The  tour of holy Pashupatinath temple, Bouddhanath ( Little Tibet), Swayambhunath ( Monkey Temple) & monasteries, ancient Kings Palaces and courtyard in Kathmandu; after an interesting sightseeing back to the hotel, afternoon free at leisure for Pun Hill Panorama trek preparation.
Day 03:      Drive to Pokhara 950m - 06 hrs journey distance 220 k.m.
Morning travel by tourist coach or in private vehicle over the busy scenic highway towards amazing picturesque Pokhara valley driving through the Himalayan foothills, on arrival at Pokhara transfer to respective hotels nearby beautiful Phewa Lake with afternoon free for short walks.

For flying option a 30 minutes of scenic flight to Pokhara on arrival our staff will transfer you to respective hotels by the Phewa Lake side with afternoon at leisure.
Day 04:      Drive to Nayapul 1,100m begin trek to Tirkhedhuga 1,450m.
After a wonderful stay in the world’s popular tourist spot in Pokhara, morning a little than two hours drive leads away from the Pokhara valley, drive takes through mid hills towns and villages with superb views of landscapes and Annapurna mountain range including the majestic Mt. Machhapuchhre
 “ The Fish Tail” after an interesting two hours journey reaching at Nayapul (new bridge) located on the Pokhara-Baglung / Beni highway, from here our trek starts with a gradual walk through the nice village of Bhirethati here encountering trekkers, mule and donkey trains, our route leads on ancient trail to Tibet by Trans-Himalayan Salt Trade Route, walking through farm lands and villages, waterfalls then reaching at Tirkhedhuga village for the first night stay in the comfort of a nice cozy lodge after a day’s good walk of four hours.
Day 05:      Trek to Ghorepani 2,874m -  05 hrs walk.
Morning walk from Tirkhedhuga leads to a steep up for about two hours on the paved stone steps all the way to the top of Ulleri village overlooking grand views of the surrounding landscapes and of snow capped peaks of Annapurna South and Mt. Machhapuchhre, after the strenuous uphill climb the walk gets better on the winding path through cool forest path, walking into serene green alpine tree-lines of oaks-pines and rhododendron, slowly walk reaches with a short climb gaining more height at Ghorepani- Deurali village with fantastic scenery of world’s 07th highest Mt. Dhaulagiri and its range of peaks towards North West, view includes Annapurna South and Vara-Shikar also known Annapurna Fang, this lovely village Ghorepani located on the high spot in the midst of old Trans-Himalayan Salt Trade Route which stretches all the way to Upper Mustang unto Tibet the people of this area are Poon Magar tribe and this place is famous and popular for the hike to Poon Hill a view point  offering super wide angle views of world’s three highest peaks and range of other mountains with striking sunrise and sunset.
Day 06:      Morning hike to Poon-Hill trek to Tadapani 2,721m - 05 hrs.
Early morning, before dawn an hour hike up to Pun-Hill at 3,190m
this wonderful hill top offers fantastic sunrise views over the mountain range from Mt. Dhaulagiri, Mt. Manaslu to Annapurna and as far to Ganesh Himal in the far eastern horizon including the stunning Mt. Machhapuchare “The Fish Tail” one of the most respected and unclimbed peak, enjoying the lovely panorama of mountains and landscapes scenery walk continues after Ghorepani towards Tadapani, the walk leads uphill through the enchanting rhododendron forest this area a paradise for naturalist and botanical interested people with rich vegetation along with the gorgeous mountain views, after heading down hill and with the last short climb to Tadapani for the overnight stop.
Tadapani situated in the midst of a lovely forest with rhododendron, magnolia and oaks tree lines with fabulous views of Mt. Maccahapuchare and Annapurna South.
Day 07:      Trek to Ghandruk 1,951m - 04 hours.
Another beautiful sunrise view can be seen from Tadapani after a wonderful morning, today’s a short day walk to Ghandruk village, leading to a gradual descend through enchanting forest of rhododendron, oaks and pines trees, just before Ghandruk grand scenery of the snow capped mountains, after enjoying the views and the pleasant walk reaching at Ghandruk village for lunch and overnight stay, with time to explore the largest Gurung village in the Annapurna region. The men folk of Ghandruk village have long tradition of supplying some of the finest soldiers in the Gurkha Regiment to both the British and Indian armies. Ghandruk a fascinating village perched in a beautiful location; here you will have opportunity to chat with ex-Gurkha soldiers who are only pleased to discuss their association with the British and Indian armies, here above the village provides stunning views.
Day 08:      Trek to Pothana 1, 900 m - 05 hrs.
After a nice time at Ghandruk village , morning walk on the downhill for an hour to Modi River, then over the bridge with gradual walk and a short climb reaches to Landruk village, after brief time here continue walk on the long winding trail through terraced farm fields and villages then reaching in a small cool forested area, from here an uphill walk for 40 minutes to Deurali ridge at 2,150 m. After Deurali a nice pleasant walk through forest with grand views of
Mt. Annapurna, Mt. Manaslu including the Fish Tail peak all the way to Pothana village is reached for overnight stay located in the middle of alpine forest with fantastic views of the snow capped mountains and valley.
Day 09:      Trek to Kande and drive to Pokhara.
Morning with superb views leads to a short up through cool forest at Thulo Kharka also known as Australian Camp a wonderful spot in the midst of the forest with large meadows overlooking magnificent views of the Himalayan range of mountains, after a short break here the last hour walk an easy descend to Kande village on the road head that connects Baglung-Pokhara, from here an hour drive back to Pokhara after a wonderful time up in the high mountains.
Day 10:      Drive of fly back to Kathmandu.
Morning a scenic drive to Kathmandu, after a wonderful memorable trip in the mid hills of Annapurna area,  then on reaching Kathmandu transfer to respective hotels with afternoon free at leisure.

(Again with options to fly back to Kathmandu our staff will transfer you to Pokhara domestic airport for 30 minutes scenic flight to Kathmandu, on reaching Kathmandu meet our staff and then transfer back to respective hotels).
Day 11:      International departure for home ward bound.
After a great memorable time and experience with Solukhumbu Treks & Expedition, depart from the hotel to the airport for final departure homeward bound or to respective destinations.
