Solukhumbu Treks & Expedition present an awesome mountaineering challenge to the summit of Mt. Annapurna I at 8,091 m / 26,545 ft high.
Truly a great wall of a mountain to climb from both routes the Sanctuary and South West Face near Kaligandaki Valley at Lete.
World 10th highest Annapurna I, the first 8,000 meter peak ever to be climbed in the history of mountaineering expeditions three years before Everest was summitted.
Mt. Annapurna I was first explored and climbed by late Maurice Herzog and his French Team members in 3rd June 1950.
Mountaineers looks at this beautiful mountains as one of the toughest peak to tackle of high technical skills, where hard core and veteran climbers can join in this Mt. Annapurna Expeditions to experience an adventure of life time adventure.
Solukhumbu Treks & Expedition Mt. Annapurna Expeditions starts with an interesting drive to most scenic and picturesque Pokhara valley, blessed with mountains and pristine lakes a natural paradise.
After Pokhara heading high hills and visiting local Gurung villages of Ghandruk and Chomrong villages observing its fascinating culture of Buddhist and Bon origin.
Our walk leads into Modi gorge with dense rhododendron-pines and bamboo forest and shortly entering into a wide valley at Annapurna Sanctuary surrounded with giant peaks.
Our adventurous climb is undertaken after enough rest days for acclimatization and practices before heading at the foot of great wall of Annapurna I.
After good planning and with great support of our expert and veteran Sherpa guides leading you atop world 10th highest mountain, regarded as one of the hardest and challenging mountain to climb.
On reaching the summit and back to base camp safely our return route to Pokhara leads to scenic walk back into warmer areas and forest and finally at beautiful Pokhara with last overnight by the Phewa Lake.    
Day 01:            Meet in Kathmandu after arrival from international flight.
Day 02-03:       In Kathmandu sightseeing tour and Annapurna expedition’s preparation.
Day 04:            Drive or fly to Pokhara 950m (35 mins flight & 6 hrs drive)
Day 05:            Drive to Nayapul and trek to Ghandruk 1,730 m - 05 hrs walks.      
Day 06:            Trek to Chomrong 1,951m - 06 hrs.
Day 07:            Trek to Dovan 2,130m via Bamboo 2,050m - 06 hrs.
Day 08:            Trek to Machhapuchare Base Camp 3,720m - 06 hrs.
Day 09:            Trek to Annapurna Base Camp 4,095m - 04 hrs.
Day 10:            At Annapurna base camp rest and acclimatization.
Day 11:            Trek and climb to Advance High Camp at 4,702 m.
Day 12-13:       Rest day at leisure for exploration of the route and around.
Day 14-33:       Climbing day for 20 days.
Day 34:            Return back to Base Camp.
Day 35:            Cleaning day of the base camp.
Day 36:            Trek to Bamboo - 06 hrs.
Day 37:            Trek to Jhinu danda with hot spring 1,700m - 05 hours.
Day 38:            Trek to Potana 1,900 m - 05 hrs.
Day 39:            Trek to Kande 1,460m and drive to Pokhara.
Day 40:            Drive or fly back to Kathmandu afternoon free at leisure.
Day 41:            In Kathmandu free day with optional tour.
Day 42:            International departure homeward bound.

Day 01:            Meet in Kathmandu after arrival from international flight.
Rendezvous in Kathmandu where you will be joined with other members of the trekking team on reaching respective hotels, our guide or group leader will brief information regarding Annapurna I Expeditions with welcome dinner in a nice Nepalese restaurant includes culture program.
Day 02-03:      In Kathmandu tour and preparation for Annapurna expeditions.
Two days in Kathmandu for Annapurna expeditions preparations packing and buying necessary equipments and high altitude foods, final meeting and collecting permits and other documents related with the expeditions. On this day interested people can book for a tour around Kathmandu at places of interest, Kathmandu valley steeped with historical / cultural monuments and world heritage sites.
Day 04:            Drive to Pokhara 950m - 06 hrs journey distance 220 k.m.
Morning travel by tourist coach or in private vehicle over the busy scenic highway towards amazing picturesque Pokhara valley driving through the Himalayan foothills, on arrival at Pokhara transfer to respective hotels nearby beautiful Phewa Lake with afternoon free for short walks.

For flying option a 30 minutes of scenic flight to Pokhara.
Day 05:            Drive to Nayapul 1,100m begin trek to Ghandruk 1,730m.
After having breakfast at Pokhara 2 hours of good drive reaches to the starting point of the trek at Nayapul and Bhirethati by the river Modi the drive leads through mid hills towns and villages with superb views of landscapes and Annapurna mountain range including the majestic Mt. Machhapuchare “ The Fish Tail” after an interesting two hours journey reaching at Nayapul (new bridge), from here trek starts with a gradual walk through the nice village of Bhirethati here coming across trekkers, mule and donkey trains, our route leads on ancient trail to Tibet by Trans-Himalayan Salt Trade Route, walking through farm lands and villages, waterfalls then reaching at Ghandruk village of Gurung tribe, famous as Gorkha soldiers in several foreign countries, besides being a soldiers there are traditional farmers and cattle herders of Buddhist religion. Ghandruk which is one of the largest villages around Annapurna area in the comfort of a nice cozy lodge after a day’s good walk of four hours.
Day 06:            Trek to Chomrong 1,951m - 06 hours.
From Ghandruk an hour walk uphill and then reaching to a ridge of Kimrong and then heading downhill through the cool forest of rhododendron and pines trees to Kimrong valley, after reaching the Kimrong valley an uphill climb for another hour from here all the way to the top of Chomrong village, a short downhill walk to the overnight stop at Chomrong village, this is the last permanent Gurung village and the gateway to Annapurna Sanctuary and Base Camp trekking.
Day 07:            Trek to Dovan 2,130m via Bamboo 2,050m - 06 hours.
After Chomrong today’s walk leads to a short downhill over the terraced farm fields and to the Chomrong river, after crossing the bridge an uphill for an hour to Sinuwa Danda a small spot with few lodges offering great views of the surrounding landscapes and rolling green hills, from this place walking through cool dense forest till a place called Bamboo is reached, located by the Modi River in the middle of bamboo, rhododendron and oaks forest. From here an hour walk on the gradual up trail to Dovan for overnight stop, situated in the middle of forest Modi River gorge.
Day 08:            Trek to Machhapuchare Base Camp 3,720m - 06 hrs.
From here onwards the air gets cooler and fresher entering towards the Annapurna Sanctuary and Base Camp, walk leads on the gradual winding path with gentle ups to Himalaya Hotel near the Hinko Cave, right beneath of Huinchuli peak. From here walking on the glacier and moraine in the old avalanche area, after crossing a small bridge near at Deurali the last lodge before Machhapuchare Base Camp, from here further vegetation and tree lines disappears with only high alpine bushes and shrubs, our route climbs following the Modi river upstream, the walk gets pleasant in some places then with steep up reaching at Machhapuchare Base Camp for overnight stay. This place with four lodges located on the bottom of Mt. Machhapuchare North Face, from here onwards within the Annapurna Sanctuary
Day 09:            Trek to Annapurna Base Camp 4, 095m - 04 hours.
After a wonderful morning overlooking views of Annapurna mountain range, from here a short walk to the base camp, morning walk on the grassy uphill slopes then reaching higher almost level ground near Annapurna Base Camp, morning walk with stunning views of close Annapurna peaks that circles the sanctuary facing Annapurna I. After a good scenic walk reaching at Annapurna Base Camp a magnificent spot with about three large lodges at present, offering tremendous awesome scenery of snow capped peaks that encircles around this lovely spot at base camp, afternoon at leisure to enjoy the mountain views.
Annapurna area was first explored by the British Adventure Col. James O.M. 'Jimmy' Roberts in the year 1956 and exposed to the world as the 'Sanctuary of Gods'. The Sanctuary has been christened as "Annapurna Sanctuary" ever since.
Day 10:            At Annapurna base camp rest and acclimatization.
A full rest day for acclimatization and short hike around in this magnificent surrounding of amphitheatre of snow-peaks that links Annapurna I, a large wall of a mountain as seen from the base camp and Annapurna sanctuary. Here with time for climbing preparation for next day climb to Advance Camp. 

Day 11:            Climb to Advance Camp 5,600m.
Trek and climb towards Advance Camp the faint trail leads on the moraine of ice and small glacial streams, the climb leads higher to camp near the elevation of 5,600m. A tough walk and climb avoiding thin glaciers and crevices on route to Advance Camp.
Day 12-13:      At Advance Camp.
These two days everyone will be busy sorting and repacking of the necessary gear and equipments for the climb which needs at least 3 camps before the summit bid.
Our leader and climbing Sherpa guide will brief with information regarding climbing routine and technique required for the climb.
Here you can practice climb on ice and glaciers beneath the towering Annapurna I.
Day 14-33:      Climbing Day.
The mountain from the North West side first climbed by late legendry Maurice Herzog in the 1950’s, the first 8,000 meter peak ever to climbed even before Everest was summitted, since then there have been several Expeditions from this route some has acclaimed success many climbers found this peak as a killer mountain just like Nanga Parbat in Karakorum range. For this reason and for safety measure we have reserved 20 days for the climb.
The 1st camp will be set in about 2-3 days and the next camp II and III between weeks; remaining days will be used for proper preparation to summit this tough mountain.
The weather also plays prime factor on the climb, some time unfavorable weather hinder the climbing routine days.

Day 34:            Return to Base Camp.
After the tough hard work and climb descend back to Base Camp safely, bringing all the gear, used oxygen bottles and camping equipments by this day every member and staff should reach base camp to assist with packing and cleaning the area.
Day 35:            At Base Camp.
After an adventurous and tough climb with success and at base camp preparation for return journey to Pokhara unto Kathmandu, here sorting out gear and cleaning the surrounding camp.
Day 36:            Trek to Bamboo 2,050 m - 06 hours.
After a grand time at Annapurna Sanctuary and base camp, morning walk on the downhill path all the way to Deurali, then with few ups and downs with gradual winding trail in the serene forest and back to the tree lines to Bamboo for the overnight stay.
Day 37:            Trek to Jhinu danda 1,700m via Chomrong 06 hours.
From here a short steep up to Khuldi Ghar, then on the winding downhill path
Through the dense forest to Sinuwa danda, from here walk descends to Chomrong khola. After the bridge an uphill walk for less than an hour reaching at Chomrong village for rest stop or lunch, after Chomrong with another up for half hour to the top of Chomrong ridge, then our route descends to Jhinu danda,  for overnight stay, this place offers refreshing hot springs just 20 minutes walk downhill near Modi river.
Day 38:            Trek to Pothana 1, 900 m - 05 hrs.
At Jhinu with a good moment, morning walk on the downhill for an hour to Modi River, then over the bridge with gradual walk and a short climb reaches to Landruk village, after brief time here continue walk on the long winding trail through terraced farm fields and villages then reaching in a small cool forested area, from here an uphill walk for 40 minutes to Deurali ridge at 2,150 m.
After Deurali a nice pleasant walk through forest with grand views of
Mt. Annapurna, Mt. Manaslu including the Fish Tail peak all the way to Pothana village is reached for overnight stay located in the middle of alpine forest with fantastic views of the snow capped mountains and valley.
Day 39:            Trek to Kande and drive to Pokhara.
Morning with superb views leads to a short up through cool forest at Thulo Kharka also known as Australian Camp a wonderful spot in the midst of the forest with large meadows overlooking magnificent views of the Himalayan range of mountains, after a short break here the last hour walk an easy descend to Kande village on the road head that connects Baglung-Pokhara, from here an hour drive back to Pokhara after a wonderful time up in the high mountains.
Day 40:            Drive or fly back to Kathmandu.
Morning a scenic drive to Kathmandu, after a wonderful memorable adventure on world 10th  highest mountains expeditions to Mt. Annapurna I,  on reaching Kathmandu transfer to respective hotels with afternoon free at leisure.
(option by air 30 minutes scenic flight to Kathmandu)
Day 41:            In Kathmandu with sightseeing tour.
A free day with optional sightseeing tour in our interesting cultural tour of Kathmandu valley with world heritage sites, however some of them been damaged from recent earthquake.
The  tour of holy Pashupatinath temple, Bouddhanath ( Little Tibet), Swayambhunath ( Monkey Temple) & monasteries, ancient Kings Palaces and courtyard in Kathmandu; after an interesting sightseeing back to the hotel, afternoon free at leisure for individual activities.

This day also to submit reports of the expeditions at concern Nepal Government Tourism department.
Day 42:            International departure for home ward bound.
After a great memorable time and experience on Mt. Annapurna I Expeditions with Solukhumbu Treks & Expedition, depart from the hotel to the airport for final departure homeward bound or to respective destinations.
